She has been sleeping through the night for the past 3 weeks. She gets up for a feed between 7-8am and is awake for about an hour then goes back to sleep for up to 3 hours. She has at least and hour to 2 hours in the afternoon and then goes to sleep at 7-8 at night. Is this normal or too much??

Each baby is different but dd2 slept a lot. Your dd sounds a lot like mine was! Enjoy the peace and quiet! It may all change....

just take advantage - it probably won't last!

if she sleeps reasonably well at night, then she's probably getting the right amount by day, whatever that may be.

Around 16 hours is at the top end of how much babies sleep in a 24 hour period, but is still normal.

You'll probably find as she gets older, that the morning nap becomes shorter, to say, 1.5 hours and likewise the afternoon nap, so the waking times get longer.

My 8mo sleeps 7-7 at night, has 1-2 hours nap from 9.30am and then 1-2 hours at around 1pm. She really loves her sleep!

Sounds like you have a fab routine going. Enjoy it!
