DD1 13Months & wont sleep at nap time unless we're out & about

She sleeps really well through the night now but won't sleep during the day unless we're in the car or pushchair.

I used to be able to take her out the car seat asleep & put into cot no problem but as soon as she's in the cot she's up crying & won't go back to sleep.

If we don't go out for a walk or in the car to town then she acts tired, has milk, practically falls asleep at home but really wakes as soon as you try & put her in the cot. She then doesn't have a nap!

Any suggestions??

Try staying in fro 4 or 5 days and get her back into the habit and once back in the habit don't break the routine for longer than 2 days in a row?

My DS went through a phase of refusing naps in her cot. She used to fall asleep on the sofa so I jut let her.

She just won't fall asleep/stay asleep, I'd gladly let her fall asleep on the sofa coz I'm missing my little naps too!!

oops, I meant DD. Not helpful but DS hasn't had regular daytime naps since he was 10 months old.
How old is your DD?

My ds started to only sleep in the car shortly before he gave up naps altogether . I used to take a flask and a book, drive somewhere nice and have a nice time while he slept!

DD has always had a 2/3 hour nap in the daytime, DS stopped and would get tired but just lie down with a book or something, then leap up and play. They both sleep well at night though.

Thanks for all your help .... miracle, we just had a nap, I gave her milk on my bed & lay down with her & both just had a nap.... it helped me & her, just hope tonight goes like normal, i reckon if i stick to the night routine it'll be fine!
