My 8.5m old DS moans and loudly whimpers between sleep cycles as he rolls around his cot, every 45-50 mins all night. He rarely fully wakes (apart from the last few nights where he’s not been well) but still wakes for a night feed anywhere between 2-5am.
It’s really disrupting my sleep hearing him so frequently; I’m just wondering firstly if being such a loud sleeper is normal?
And secondly if there’s anything I can do to try to dissuade and drop a night feed? It’s never a fixed time and he won’t be settled without a bottle, we’ve tried shhing and patting and putting his dummy back in. He is capable of sleeping through as he did it for a few weeeks stretch about 2 months ago.
We are hoping to drop the dummy soon but want to get his sleep on track again after illness before considering it.
He was off his solid food for a few weeks due to teething and illness so gradually getting that back to normal, he’s never been a huge eater anyway but I know that getting their calories in during the day can dissuade night feeds.
sorry for the long post!!!
