My nearly 12 month old has been waking so many times at night, starts every hour then maybe every 30 mins, previously slept well, this has been going on 4 weeks now, I'm so tired, how long did it last for anyone else

Currently going through this now so you have my sympathy. Been two weeks at this stage! Always a super sleeper, 11-12 hours solid and night and two good naps, would go down no problem. Now it's a fight at bedtime for over an hour and then multiple waking through the night 🙈

Bump

Sorry ours lasted probably 6 weeks... :( it wasn't fun. Have a look at naps, might help to shorten the first one if you haven't already. It helped us.

Also lots of walking practice in the day as I think it can be developmental sometimes too

AlltheFs · 31/03/2023 14:35

I think it was 6 weeks or so. No more than 8. I know that feels like forever but it will pass!

How long were the naps, thanks

6 weeks.. you're nearly there! We didn't change anything for regressions and ours always came out the other side. You've just got to ride the wave.

My 2 year old has been in a regression since 11 months!

Pantheon · 01/04/2023 13:23

We shortened the 1st nap to 45 mins x

Pantheon · 01/04/2023 13:24

We found he couldn't nap more than 2h15 during the day or he'd have a split night

I'd like to say this was the same for us but I don't think I really followed sleep regressions or had much awareness as I always had an awful sleeper 😂
Pretty sure we dropped to one nap at 11m, then capped that nap to 45m around 18m, then dropped the nap completely around 2y and that's finally when sleep improved and we reached the dreamy stage of sleeping through the night!

OP - please tell me you are out the other side now?

Our little one was sleeping through consistently 7-10 months and then about a month ago for covid and has been sleeping terribly since; he’s one tomorrow and has been waking between 11-1am this week and just refusing to go back down. My husband and I are like zombies, he never had this with our first!

The fact he was sleeping through is the only thing giving me hope at the moment!

Hi, it's hard to tell if we are out of it yet, at the 7 or 8 week mark there was slight improvement in that she would still wake at start of the night but then maybe between 10pm and 2am she slept without waking back to sleep then up maybe up at 5.30 or 6am, I was so happy there was some improvement but this week she has a cold and very blocked up so back to waking very frequently all night
