How long to let baby try fall asleep

Currently posting from my bedroom floor hiding from the next to me with my 5 months old rolling about blowing raspberries to herself.

She's waaaay past her wake window, fell asleep breastfeeding (normal for her) and woke up when I transferred her to the cot 15 mins later (not normal). I picked her up and rocked her to sleep then she woke up again on transfer and now here we are.

I'm personally not in favour of any type of cry it out, but as she's not crying or upset how long do I leave her alone? Feels so strange!

You could just spend some very quiet time with her (without making much of a fuss and not being chatty) before offering another breastfeed to help top her up again and hope she settles.

You could prewarm her cot with a warm hot water bottle then take it out before laying her down - keeping your hands on her head and tummy until she is defo sound asleep.

If she’s not crying leave her. It’s a good thing to learn to go to sleep on your own without being rocked. Don’t interact - this is the dream
