How to stop co sleeping with baby

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how I can stop co sleeping with my 3 week old baby?

I never intended to co sleep and bought a next to me crib for the baby to sleep in, but after the first few days DD refuses to sleep in her crib and will only settle in bed or breastfeeding to sleep. She usually wakes within 10 minutes of putting her down at night, but manages a longer stretch for daytime naps.

I'm not from the UK originally and co sleeping with young children is the norm in my home country so I can't ask family for advice as they would always recommend co sleeping. I don't have any friends with kids either to ask their advice.

I sleep very deeply and I'm very scared of SIDS or squashing my baby in her sleep 😔. I dread nights because with her clustereeding I'm exhausted and co sleeping is the only way I've been able to get any sleep, but the anxiety about SIDS is too much, I wake up in a panic every morning terrified that I've hurt her. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get her to settle in her crib?
