15w baby suddenly hates crib

My DS is 15 weeks and for the last four nights has suddenly refused to sleep in his crib. He usually doesn’t have a problem sleeping in it at night (though during the day he only sleeps on me) but now he screams the moment you put him in it and nothing will soothe him except picking him up and, eventually, taking him into bed with me. The moment he is next to me he’s fine! I don’t like doing this because I never sleep well and always worry about him.

He was also getting pretty good at going down drowsy after a night feed and then settling himself to sleep, or we would be able to settle him quickly in the crib if he fussed, but now that has stopped.

Has this happened to anyone else? Was it a phase that passed or was there something you did to improve things?

4 month sleep regression perhaps?

This sounds like the 4 month sleep regression alright! It will be tough for a while but it will pass. Hang in there.

Thanks @knobheadinlaws and @thattravelphotographer, I was hoping it might be the dreaded 4-month sleep regression! Then it’s just a matter of waiting… I’ve also noticed that our bedroom has been a degree or two warmer this week as the weather has picked up, but nor sure that would cause such a sudden crib strike.
