She just seems to cry out but is absolutely fine and still asleep BUT it wakes me up and it's taking me ages to get back to sleep each time - does anyone have any tips on why she might be doing it and hence what I can do to help? She's sleeps just off our room so we hear everything but don't have the option to move her just yet.

Both DDs did this from little baies to toddlers...DD1 let out blood-curdling shrieks, then heart-rendering sobs, but was absolutely fine and fast asleep. I guess they are dreaming. No tips, sorry.

dd used to do this, and I used to have trouble getting back to sleep too.
I don't think there's anything you can do about it though. Sorry!
she will grow out of it though...

she is probably dreaming so nothing you can do about it - have you tried earplugs to drown the noise out?

Oh poo. I was hoping that there would be some magic reason and solution
