she wakes at 10.30 / 11 pm, i resettle her maybe 5 times over 1/2 hr and she just doesnt stop til maybe in the night she comes in to my bed, thus dh exits and its a pia.
this hasnt happened before.
there are no scary feelings. nice stories at bedtime. a fairly knackered chi;d going tp bed who needs/likes 11/12 hrs night slleep.

i am not giving in and letting her into my bed.

dd1 (4.8) does this, but not every night. TBH, I let her go to sleep then pop her back into her bed - seems to do the trick! Am hoping it's just a phase! I wonder if she wakes up chilly as it's quite cold at night.

DS1 was like this.
We got him a dream catcher, and it did wonders.
He hadn't been particularly worried about anything, but had got into the habit of waking, I think.
But he used to find school really exhausting, so was often over-tired, or over-stimulated when it came to bedtime.

oh i do love the cuddles if they do end up in my bed, but its more the wakening thing and that that becomes a habit thus upsetting her sleep. whih results in a semi-meltdown at 2pm when i collect her from school and shes in no form for doing anything in the afternoons.
madamy i do pop her back in if she gives me dig and i wake up !
and perhaps coldness does play a part too..

HC she made her own dream cathcer last wk and nxt day had lovely dreams.

thanks all

Mine have phases of this, but thinking about it ds1 is now 8.5 and hasn't come into our bed for aaaages.
He says we're smelly (we are absolutely not).
So it will end, sometime.
Makes me feel a bit sad, actually.
