How to get my 9 month old grandson to sleep in his travel cot

I regularly have my grandson, he cries every time he is put in his travel cot whether he is awake or asleep, we have brought a 13cm mattress, but he still cries. Does anyone have any tips please?

put it right by your bed?

You might need to look at alternatives. Will he sleep if you take him for a walk? Then hopefully you could just wheel him into the house once he’s asleep, or keep walking and enjoy the exercise?

My 9mo won't sleep in a cot during the day, will only sleep in the pram.
