Baby sleeps through the night is that okay

So this is my first baby, my sister has two little girls but both of hers were different so I don't know if I'm being a bad parent or this is just something my baby does, I've read it can be okay but I suppose I just want to see if other people have had the same...
So my baby is now 3 months old as of 2moro and I literally have to wake him in the night to feed him, he will just sleep through if I let him, right now I'm sat posting this while he's still asleep, he doesn't nap much in the day and if he does it's only cat naps 20-30 mins so winters a bit longer depending how much he fought sleep and when he's due a feed next, I fed him last night at 12.30 when I went to bed (usually not so late) it's now 8 so he's been asleep for just over 7hrs...he's just starting to stir and wake up now on his own....
My theory is if he's hungry he'll wake up, he's a fab little feeder (breastfeeding) and he's a good weight for his age, so i think it's just how he is, apparently some baby's do starting to go through the night I suppose I use wanted to hear from someone, not just a bit on Google 🫣 tia guys x

My second baby was like this. He was a very efficient feeder and started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks.

I will warn you though that it didn’t last 😬

Mine both slept through (8hrs plus) from about 8wks. They were both good weights and I didn’t wake them to feed but sometimes used to give them a dream feed at midnight if their last bottle had been early.

All 3 of mine slept 7-7 from 3 months.

unless your baby is loosing weight etc, don’t worry 😁

You don't need to wake baby as long as they have regained their birth weight which at 3 months they deff should. My daughter slept through at 3 months. She's 11 months now and bar a few nights when she hasn't been well she has always slept at least 10 hours straight.

She is following her percentile line to the letter so clearly doing fine

Definitely don’t feel the need to wake your LO if they’ve regained their birth weight and are feeding well during the day ☺️

It’s lovely to hear so many positive responses as usually posts like this are met with “enjoy it while it lasts”, “just wait for x sleep regression” style comments but some babies just do sleep well! My DS has always slept well overnight excluding the odd night where he’s been teething or unwell so hopefully your little one will keep it up too x

I was advised that once baby is back to birth weight there’s no need to wake them to eat. Mine slept through from about 7 weeks until the 4 month regression and is now at 6 months finally figured out the sleep thing again and only wakes 2-3 times now. So enjoy it while it lasts! Babies tend to sleep the best at 3 months in the entire first year of life, it’s downhill from there 😬
