How do you stop kids waking up so damn early? Mine are ridiculous and it's been happening forever. Every single day that I can ever remember has been before 7 but lately it is regular occurence before 6am. I want to cry when I see 5.10 on my clock most mornings. They're 6 and bed time is 8pm. They just don't seem tired...I don't get it. It doesn't matter if I keep them up later or we go out somewhere etc (they wake at the same time and are worse behaved). They do a lot of activities during the week and go to be tired.

I have one who is excited to wake up and play with me (because I work and they're at school all day). So he comes bouncing into the room every 10mins asking me to wake up. And the other is into his nintendo so wants to play with that. I've tried no devices before 7am before and they did try lying in bit but generally woke up and made noise playing. We live in an apartment all on one floor so I can hear their every move.

Help!!!!

Following however my early riser has just turned seven.

We've tried every trick in the book - a walk before bedtime to tire him out, totally black room, white noise, grow clocks, reward charts, taking him back to bed supernappy style, bribing, leaving paper and pens/ books by the bed . If we let him go on electronics he'll wake earlier and earlier (once woke up at 3am to find him on his switch) so we've stopped that like you. His normal wake up time is 4:50. I'd absolutely love to hit 6am.

My 4 and 2 year old sleep till 7am. So following in hope that there's a miracle.
