Can I hear success stories of two year olds starting to sleep through...

My daughter has always been an awful sleeper. I never did any form of sleep training and always responded to her needs. I then split with my partner and I've used any tools to get her to sleep (bottles), cuddles, coming in to bed with me! Over the past week, I've been putting her to bed half an hour later and she seems to stay asleep for much longer! She will normally wake around 1pm, which is when I take her into my bed and give her water or milk. It feels like she is slowly spending more time in her cot and I'm wondering (secretly hoping) she might one day sleep through on her own. Has anyone got any success stories of toddlers starting to sleep through at 2, when they've been crap sleepers beforehand?

Yes! Mine! My 2 year old (26 months) was a terrible sleeper. Truly awful. We never did any sort of sleep training, still cuddle him to sleep, and he just started sleeping through by himself, very close to turning 2. Sometimes I see him wake up on the monitor and where before he would stand up and cry, now he just rolls over and goes to sleep. It’s nothing we’ve done or changed, he just did it one day!

Nothing against sleep training. It just wasn’t for us. Maybe he would have slept through earlier if we had sleep trained? But he got there himself…eventually!

@sleepslikeababy thanks so much, this is great to here! I bring my little girl into bed with me when she stirs at 11pm, I need to break that habit as she's quite good at sleep otherwise. Thanks for the positive story xxx
