hello,
my 8mo has slept through (average 7.30pm - 7.30am) from a few weeks old.
since early december, however, she's been waking at 4 or 5 every night: have ensured she's not too hot / cold, have checked it's not her teething / she's not hungry etc.
she did have an ear infection which i think may have affected her sleep pattern but her course of antibiotics is finished now so i don't think it can still be her ear?
any advice on how i can maybe encourage her to sleep beyond 4am once more would be very much appreciated.
we gave her medised when she had the ear infection - i'm worried that maybe she can't sleep now without the sedative?
thanks so much for any advice
x

My dd has never slept, so i think your lucky to have had a good sleeper for so long.

Sorry I don't have anything useful to say but maybe someone who can help will come along soon.

Good Luck

Nothing much you can do really as she will fall back into her "old" pattern when she is ready.

Perhaps try leaving her for longer in the morning to see if she goes back to sleep but I sometimes still do get my 10 month old up at 5am at times.

You have done well to have a restful baby in the earlier months so now I think you are finding it extra hard whereas a lot of Mum experience it the other way round.
