I thought it would never happen. It probably never will again. So I will celebrate it all day long! Yippee yippee.
(Although the title thread is a little misleading - I was actually up once checking on the contented, sleeping little darling as in such shock that no night feeds. then awake from rather early with gigantic boobs ready for action!)
But still........... it happened! All on it's own! Yippee!

Sorry - pointless, self indulgent, celebratory thread!

Excellent!
How old is your little one??
(I remember the first night each of mine slept through I was awake every hour convinced soemthing must be wrong !!)

iwasacceptableintheeighties · 21/01/2008 08:41

She's 7 months old. I am particularly pleased as she has done it all by herself! I happily feed her as much as she wants in the night, and was wondering if this was just habitand was going to go on forever! repeat to self: do not get carried away. This may never happen again. do not get carried away. This may never happen again....
But it happened once!! Yippee!
Feeeeeeling good!

I bet you spend all of today trying to replicate exactly what you did yesterday in the hope it happens again tonight

Here's hoping she's seen the light!

FoghornLeghorn · 21/01/2008 08:47

Sleep ........... what is sleep ?

iwasacceptableintheeighties · 21/01/2008 09:17

I probably will Waynetta! And it probably wont work! Hee Hee Foghorn... I should stop being smug as tomorrows post will probably read: 'feeding half hourly throughout entire night as DD making up for missed feeds.'
How old is your LO Foghorn?

If I were you I would wear the same clothes, eat the same food, watch the same telly and see if it works tonight .

My lo is 4 mths old and actually slept through a few times when she was around 6 weeks but no luck since then, maybe soon

Bodkin · 21/01/2008 13:08

My DD2 (6 months) slept through until 5.30am the other day.... it was after we had given her half a chip while we had fish and chips. I was sorely tempted to give her chips every evening from then on

iwasacceptableintheeighties · 21/01/2008 14:31

Hmm... now what were we doing this time yesterday?

Well it didn't happen again!
Nevermind. I guess that one night will see me through another 6 months!
