19 month bedtime creeping later and later

Any tips please?

Nearly 19 months old and always been a good sleeper until now!

He wakes at 7.15am ish, naps at 1pm for an hour and now won't go to sleep until 8.30/9pm? Bedtime used to be 7.30/7.45. Bedtime routine is bath, book; bottle, bed. Nothing has changed.

I just feel like we're losing any evening that we used to have as one of us is doing bedtime! Any tips? He won't nap any earlier, and I don't really want to have to get him up earlier but will if I have to?

Could you bring the lunchtime nap forward say 1230pm to 130pm or 12pm till 1pm??

Sorry I read that wrong didnt see lo won't go down earlier . Maybe wake a bit earlier then they will have an earlier nap? Or try cutting nap down, but that seems mean....

There is a sleep regression at around 18 months that can last up to 6 weeks.

What happens when you try to put him down for bed? Is he still in a cot or in a bed?

Bringing nap time forward he just refuses to sleep any earlier! Means nap time take even longer and he then goes down usual time anyway.

If I put him in the cot (still in cot not bed yet) he just stands up and laughs/launches his dummy and then cries/screams until we pick him up. We do bedtime in his room. It all started last week with the super hot weather.

That's true it could be the sleep regression! I kind of hope it is so that it passes!
