I have been trying for the last few hours, she is usually asleep by 7.30pm. I have tried ice drink, cold flannels, ice hot water bottle, fan, door open, door closed, not working. I’ve lost my sanity. She has been awake since 7.30am this morning, I cannot believe she won’t just conk out!!!

any suggestions? Or anyone else got the same problem?

Drive in the car if you have one?

We've told ours to look at their books til they pass out with exhaustion fall asleep.

It’s really annoying but hopefully short lived tonight and tomorrow 🤞🏻

Nothing particularly strange. I'll be surprised if I get any sleep myself until 3am at the earliest, and I'm in my 50s. Current night temperatures sending the wrong signals to our bodies. Day off tomorrow so I'll probably nap a couple of hours mid-day during the worst of the heat.

Thanks all, she finally conked 10 mins ago.

@Squeezedsquash thanks for that suggestion, can’t believe I didn’t think to do that! My 1 year old was also more difficult than normal at bedtime so I will definitely be taking my kiddies for a 7pm drive tomorrow evening!

I dunked mine in the paddling pool just before bed till their teeth were chattering 😬 might be verging on child abuse but they enjoyed it and did seem to go to sleep on time. They woke up hot and bothered a few hours later so we had to do the cool flannels etc as even I draw the line at paddling pools in the dark… it gave us a few child free hours 😊

I don't have the same problem as mine are older, but I did hear the wee girl nearby howling about an hour ago through their open window. She sounded tired and fed up rather than cross.
