Does your dd wear knickers at night?

I never have and was told as a young girl that it was unhygienic and bad for you. My dd is insisting on wearing them now she doesn't need nappies (she's 2.7) Should I insist on none (and put up with the tantrums) or let her wear them if she wants to?

Me and DDs all knicker-free in bed and quite often stark naked!

I don't wear anything in bed ... but those of you that wear knickers .. do you wear bras under your pjs or nighties too?

Hulababy...exactly the same here:

both dds wear knickers in bed with either nighty or pjs. I have told them they don't have to but they want to - dd1 says she feels bear without them.

MIL once said she throught it was strange to wear knickers in bed on the other hand my sister says she feels too exposed without knickers....each to their own I suppose.

I don't wear anything so that solves that one.

i was brought up not to wear knickers under my nightie, to give everything an airing. Never a great fan of pjs. I wear a bra as well now but only cos breastfeeding and required to hold pads in place, wouldn't normally. DD isn't quite 6 weeks but a great solution to crying is taking her nappy off and letting her have a kick, she likes it. Think my little tart will be knickerless under her nightie when out of nappies

Don't wear any this end at bedtime, dd only 8mo but as far as I'm concerned it's nice to have a bit of freedom. I give her half an hour each day without her nappy, then she has her bath and another play without her nappy on. Bit of 'airing' for her. When she's older she can do as she pleases re wearing knickers to bed. Whatever she's most comfortable with.

Knickers with nightie, no knickers with pj's.

Hatrick - Yes I do put clean on for bed and clean on the next morning as I have a shower before putting night clothes on and a shower the next morning so I like to put fresh underwear on.

DD is a thuggish streaker though and can't be persuaded even in to a nightie these days, hopefully she will soon as she's almost 10

My DD and DS try to keep them on under their PJs, but I check them and tell them to get them off!

I think giving their nether regions a good airing is important, as is getting them to feel comfortable with their bodies from a young age!

I do think there is something a bit twee and prissy about keeping your knickers on - it reminds me of one of those teenage christian virginity cults from the US!

I only wear knickers for bed if sleeping naked. And they have to be full pants - I call them my spider pants casue they will prevent a spider from crawling into my fanjo. I have a fear of this.

If wearing PJ's I never wear knickers.

How do you knicker bed wearers do it? Do you wear the same pants you have had on all day, or a fresh pair for nigttime? Then do you cgange gain in the morning?

dd1 doesnt wear knickers in bed however she tends to wear pjs and not a nightie and I am the same.
