my bf 17month old boy has never slept through- i ve tried night weaning it hasnt worked- for the past month he has been waking at 4 in my bed (co-sleeping from about one in morning and bfeeding too. when he wakes at 4 i pretend to still be asleep then i wait and he starts straining to trump- he trumps really loudly and forcefully and continues to do this- this usually signals that he is ready to wake up properly.
why has he started to do this and why the habit of waking exactly at 4 to do it??
i was oging to give him some gripe style water but it says not for over 12 months?

I dunno. - it's a long time since mine were that age and I can't remember!

Does he ACT like he's in pain? Does he draw up his knees? Have you tried rubbing his tummy, sitting him up, is he drinking his milk too fast and taking too much air?

I hope someone with younger kids comes here to me more help than me!

can you try gripe water after last feed before this happens? we gave this to DS when he was around the 3month mark (having tried all the natural alternatives (expensive!) first, good old gripe water worked!) just incase it helps?
