Strong winds blowing around kept DS (16mo) awake most of last night, the noise kept scaring the pants off him.

DH was at work and needs to sleep today as he works nights.

I've had less than 3hrs sleep. I could muddle through the day and wait for DS's nap later and hope he sleeps well, or i could call my mom for help and have her come over to take care of him while i go back to bed.

Only she will have him all day tomorrow.

too tired to think straight, wwyd?

Probably too late, but I think I'd phone my mum! thats what Grandparents are for aren't they!!!!!

thats what i thought, but it may mean having to fetch her, not sure if i'm up to driving the 14mile round trip.

s'pose i won't know til i call though. Ds is dozing off tho, so may be lucky and getting naptime early!

Just join him when he goes to bed, a few hours should be enough to tide you over till he goes to bed later.

I seem to be having many nights with only 3 or 4 hours sleep lately (am 36 weeks pg and have 22 month DS). If it wasn't for DS's lunchtime nap I would never get through the days, but knowing he will sleep at lunch keeps me vaguely sane. I imagine your DS will sleep well in the day today as he also had a crap night's sleep last night...

If i've had a crap night I snuggle with DS on my bed and I find he sleeps abit longer with me than on his own. (and it's lovely too!)
