8 month old waking more frequently

My 8 month is breastfed and on 3 solid meals a day. He usually wakes up 2-3 times a night and I feed him back to sleep. He doesn't need to be fed but this is the only way I can get him back to sleep. The last couple of nights he's been waking up at least once an hour.. he's teething so I don't know if this is disturbing his sleep? We gave him some calpol before bed to see if that would help ease the teething a bit through the night but he still woke up more than usual.

Any ideas why this could be and how I can help him settle back in to his old routine?

Sleep goes a bit wonky at around 8 months, you just need to ride it out. Don’t start changing things.

Also, an 8 month old very much does still need to be fed at night. It will also provide relief from teething for him.
