How long should my 10 week old sleep through the night

Hi just wanted to see how long everyone's 10 week old slept through the night? Mine can go between 8-9 hours just wondering if that's okay. And how many ounces they have and how often do they feed ?

If lo is gaining weight. Feeding well. Producing nappies leave lo be to sleep overnight. Enjoy it!

I think there's a rough guide in the back of the box. Personally, my lo never met the guidelines at all and was always massively under the recommendation of what she should be drinking, but then she stayed on her percentile.

With frequency is different for every lo. Mine still likes some of her bottle, and then about 30 minutes to an hour later likes the rest. Some Los have every 2 to 3 hours like my lo at that age. Some like 4 hourly. At that age, I wouldn't leave longer than 4 hours.

Yup! Totally fine, as long as gaining weight! Mine did 12 hours around that time and had regularly been doing 8+ for a couple weeks before. Just don’t tell anyone. Seriously, other parents will hate you because it’s not common to have a baby sleeping that long at that age. So enjoy and don’t worry!

Also mine was breast fed but I know I tried to feed her every 2-3 hours at least during the day, mainly to make sure she didn’t stop sleeping so well, not sure she really needed it!

Presuming no weight gain issues then that’s fine. At 10 weeks DD dosed downstairs with us until 10pm, then she’d have a feed, we’d all go up to bed and she’d sleep until 7am. During the day she had 6oz bottles every 4 hours.

My ten week old still breast feeds every 2-3 hrs night and day. I am shattered

ExhaustedMumma · 13/02/2022 05:26

My first DD did this at 10 weeks. I was breastfeeding which did make it a bit tricky as boobs would be rock hard! It can be an issue for supply if you don’t feed at night during the newborn phase but assume the reference to ounces means you’re bottle feeding, in which case I wouldn’t worry about it!. If weight gain is good then our HV said not to wake a sleeping baby.

DS (4.5 months) is waking x 3 or more a night at the moment and that’s an improvement on every hour until a week ago! Feeds ALL the time but he’s a big baby.

My DD sleep 7-8 hours at that age and was mixed fed. However she would cluster feed in the evenings before she went to sleep.

My DD is 11 weeks and for the past week has been going down at night at about 8pm and sleeping until about 6am. Its not quite set in stone as we dont do a set routine, but more start getting her back to sleep after she's been awake for about an hour and a half as she gets tired by then.

She usually has a 6oz bottle upon waking and then has 4 or 5 oz every 3 to 4 hours throughout the day at the moment. We still feed on demand.

I am lucky to be in this situation too ! My 10 week old does 8-9 hours a night . In the day she takes around 28 -30 oz through the day over 5 feeds :) usually 5 x 6oz bottles
