Toddler sleeping bag or Duvet

Hi all,

My DS is 16 months and not a great sleeper (still wakes a few times at night for a cuddle). He is in his own room in a cotbed (sides up), and always slept in a sleeping bag.

I am wondering whether giving him a little pillow and duvet would help him sleep better as he would be more cosy etc? I prefer him in a sleeping bag as he does move around a little and he is in his own room, although I have the camera on all night so can see him.

Please let me know if you have had similar experiences?

Thanks!

To be honest he’d probably kick it off and not be able to put it back over him, resulting in worse sleep!

Deffo try a pillow though, surprised he doesn’t have one at that age

Mine had a duvet, but think from a little later than yours. I don't know if it made a difference to sleep, but in my head, I always thought the duvet was better because they could fling it off if they got too hot! I don't think mine had a pillow till about 3yo though. They didn't need them and I didn't think it looked especially comfy

This. I'd advise keeping him in as long as he's willing.

My DS decided he wasn't using a sleeping bag any more at about 18 months and just refused to get in. He's a thrasher and spends most nights outside of his blankets even now. Not great on cold nights.
