Our 10 week old DD is FF and goes to bed like a dream at 7pm and was gradually just waking up at 1pm / 2pm and then again at 6 to 6:30 but suddenly seems to be regressing to waking every 3 hours. Now its not hunger as she only wants a couple of ounces and then goes back to sleep but then is awake again in another couple of hours. We don't rush in at the first peep either.
Any advice as the lack of sleep is really getting us down. Our other DD slept through from 7 - 7 by 9 weeks so no idea what we are doing wrong this time!
She eats every 3 hours in the day so what else can we try?

All suggestions very much appreciated as am starting to feel like these night feeds are ever going to end !

Maybe a growth spurt? Babies do this sort of thing to vex I reckon.
And a couple of oz's might be enough to sate any hunger pains that are waking her up. Will she take more at bedtime?
And I'm at the 7pm bedtime. DD is 3 and doesn't nod off till 10pm and never has.

Well she takes a decent amount at bedtime hence why I know she isn't that hungry when she wakes!
Yes 7pm is nice for her bedtime but the constan nightwaking is a killer......

Hi Bella, you were very fortunate with your first dd. Yes the lack of sleep is a killer. She is still very very young and feeding every 3 hours is very normal. You are doing nothing wrong let me tell you. My ds always went to bed a 7pm and always does but he didn't sleep through until he was crawling. Babies sleep cyles are very different to ours and they come into light sleep more often.

that should have read cycles.

I don't know about ff - but it does sound as if she's hungry to me. I think you were incredibly lucky with your first one - 9 weeks is incredibly young to go 12 hours without a feed!

Could you try waking and feeding her about half an hour before the time she usually first wakes? Maybe that'll see her through til morning?
