We are trying to to maintain a positive relationship with our son after a difficult summer when we found out he was experimenting with drugs and went ballistic with him. Since then we have turned a corner he cooks a family meal once a week , gets to work and school on time , I have re decorated and carpeted his room and bought him expensive tech presents for xmas .
However
I have just opened an amazon parcel by Accident as it was addressed to him and I hadn't noticed, he has bought himself a grinder for weed . He has assigned present buying to his younger brother and has smoked weed in our shed with freinds last night after I specifically banned this.
What would you do ?
This selfishness is age related I think , should I call it out but risk an atmosphere at Xmas .
Throw the grinder in the bin? Or had it to him with chat about his 'chioces'
Or something else ?

If I was to set a boundary as a consequence what would it be ?
I have had so many 'chats' I'm sick of his attitude and i and fed up with him

I've not been working n this situation but I have two teens. Do u still discipline? Take tech away, grounding etc. I think it's important to have boundaries it's difficult to stop him taking drugs if he's choosing to but you can certainly discipline him for doing so and also for doing it on your property. If you are going to discipline I would have a free day on Xmas otherwise atmosphere will be awful.
With my two removal of phone was best method of punishment but the closer they get to adulthood the harder it is to enforce these things.
