6 month old and 3 year old room sharing

Hi all,

I have a 3 yo boy and just had my little girl a few months ago, she will be 6 months old in feb and ready to transition out of her next 2 me and into a cot in "her own room".

My son has his own bedroom (the box room) and we have another large bedroom the same size as ours that is used as an office space for me and DH.

We absolutely need the office for my studies and my husbands work, would it be reasonable to move both kids into the large bedroom and have them share? Or do we scrap the office and just work from the living room? The office has lots of books, 2 computers in etc so will be hard to find this space in the house for this if not in the box room.

Anyone let their baby and toddler share rooms?

Well...what are you going to do when they're older?

Why can't it be an office/bedroom - or if that doesn't work because you'll need access when the baby sleeps, move the office part into your own bedroom? There's nothing particularly unfair about sharing a room, I just don't see it being the best use of space for your family unless you have extraordinarily good sleeper...

My children (boy and girl) are 3 years apart and share with us using the small 3rd bedroom for an office. If we are still in this house when they need separate rooms then the desk will have to go downstairs, but by then they will be at school when the office area is needed anyway.

We have similar but I am going to move everything downstairs into the baby is 18m or so. Now everyone is working from home a 3 bed house suddenly feels too small which is ridiculous really.
