DD just 8mo used to sleep 7-7 once upon a time. Then teething and a very bad cold put a stop to that. She has been waking 11pm and 4am more recently but usually bf and back to sleep which I don't mind so much but tonight she just won't go down at all.
Has been awake since 11.30 tried bf x3, DH and I both taken turns at walking the floor and rocking, changed nappy, given calpol and bonjela. She gets sleepy but starts screaming the minute her head hits the cot. Now she's wide awake sitting on my knee.
I just don't know what to do. Can anyone help??

Thanks Cali. Does help to know you're not alone.
We are sitting in the dark now apart from computer screen. She is lying against my chest but smiling, gooing, playing with my hair. I think we have both gone beyond sleep. DH given up and snoring away grr. She had a really bad cold last week but seemed to have got over it and only woke once last night. Thought we had turned a corner but obv not.

OK so now she's asleep on my chest but do I have the guts to try to put her down??

And she's down
running back to my bed now desperately hoping she sleeps the rest of the night.
Keep everything crossed for us.

Try swaddling her before you do so she will still feel secure.Good luck and hope you get some sleep now.
