Help! My one year old has forgotten how to sleep

My baby has never been a perfect sleeper, but she was easy to resettle, so a couple of night wakings never bothered me! However the past month she's been so unsettled... waking every couple of hours and hysterically crying! She has been ill, but she is now better and perfectly happy in the day! Today I went in and she would t settle.. only if I held her whilst standing up. I then laid her on the carpet and lay next to her and she fell asleep! But as soon as I put her back in the crib she started hysterically crying and reaching out for me. I finally managed to settle her by giving her a bottle of water and leaving the room. Does anyone have any advice/knowledge/experience/sleep training tips? I'm a single mum due back to work full time next week and I'd love more than two hours broken sleep at a time xxxx

No specific advice but bumping in the hope someone else does!

I think you will need to repeatedly keep lying her back down in the cot. Bend into the cot to settle her, but do it all with her lying down.

Are you me? 😂 I’m a single mum and working FT. 12moDD, just doesn’t know how to sleep anymore either. She’s also been ill recently with one thing after another, which has just made it ten times worse. Day sleep isn’t much better, and she’s running to the 30minute clock again! Hope it gets easier for you soon, sorry I don’t have any answers.

Mine used to have milk in the night until about 15 months and it settled him although often he ended up in our bed when he was hysterical as that just worked. We never really coslept, only when sick, after sickness and the odd time. I remember even being in the cot (im small and the cot was large) with him 🤣

It's a phase, it'll get better but doesn't help and seems like forever when you're in it.

So has mine @lilu38 ! I'm a bit lost, she's suddenly waking up crying at night. She used to be quite a good sleeper so I'm not really sure what's going on. Really hope it settles down soon.
