23 month old twins still nap 2-3 hours

My girls still nap in the day 2-3 hours. I often have to wake them up after three hours. They sleep ok at night as well 7-6.30 and it just seems a lot... is it ok? Should we worry about how much they sleep?

No, not at all. Just enjoy it. I think twins can need more sleep as they don't get the same rest period as a singleton as they always have interaction.

Don’t complain! My twins stopped napping at 18m.

You shouldn't rub our faces with it Hmm (just joking)

WaterAndRichTea · 19/09/2021 15:26

Thats about how much they should be sleeping

Enjoy it while you still can

My 30 month old does about the same, long may it last!

So lucky, sooooo lucky.

FuckingFlumps · 19/09/2021 15:32

Can they have a word with my 21 month old he doesn't do naps, he's too cool for that. Grin

Am very jealous and if I were you I would absolutely enjoy it whilst you can. Smile

Mine has just gone 2 and will still nap 3 hours a day sometimes.

Katieandthekids · 19/09/2021 15:58

Haha guys I am NOT complaining. So much Downton Abbey to be watched Smile god I hope it lasts. That's an interesting point about twins. They are constantly interacting, playing, fighting with each other so yes I imagine they don't get much down time!

My twins were like this with one still napping 2 hours a day before she started school (3 days after turning 4). She would go to school, fall asleep on the way home, I’d carry her to the sofa where she’d sleep until dinner time, wake her to eat, then she’d go to bed at 7pm until morning. At 10 she still loves her sleep. The other twin is more “normal”. I think it’s because it’s like having a constant play date so it’s more full on for them than a single dc. Mine are so active even now.
