Any advice on getting my boys to sleep through the night?

Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป
I have two DS 5&3. I donโ€™t think I have had a full nights sleep with then in the same house for the last 3 years.

I have tried everything I can think of. They have always had routine that I follow exactly the same way each night.
I had a gro clock for about 6 months and it didnโ€™t work, I have tried not giving them drinks before bed, I have even tried just โ€˜telling them offโ€™ (Iโ€™m very stern with them and get back into bed).
I know itโ€™s normal for them to get to an age where they get up early and if it was 5:30 I would understand but they are trying to get me up every morning from 2:30-3:30 onwards.

If the kids go to our parents houses for the night they will either stay in their beds.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

What do you do when they wake?

At those ages, you are exceedingly clear that the adults want to sleep, and you are only to be disturbed if they are ill, scared or there has been an accident (tears, wee, blood or sick basically).
You let them get out of bed at 6, and wake you at 7.
I lost my temper with DS1 aged about 3. Told him there was no way we were going swimming because I was too tired from him getting me up so often. Little bugger stayed in bed for the first time ever the next night, then bounced in the following morning declaring "Mummy not tired, so we can swim".
I still dont think he sleeps through aged 12, but he rarely wakes us - I often hear him talking quietly to himself if I wake in the middle of the night.

@DominicRaabsTravelAgent I will put them back to bed and tell them itโ€™s way to early to be getting up.
