Sleeping arrangements in one bed flat - HELP!

Our son is about 6mo old now, sleeps in a snuzpod next to moms in the bedroom. However we will soon need to make a decision as he will move to a bigger cot - whether to put the cot in the living room or keep in bedroom.

My wife is worried that he will get attached sleeping in bedroom, also he will inevitably keep on waiking us up, which we could avoid by bringing hom to the living room. Just wanted to ask what experienced parents think and get some advice. Thanks!

There’s no right or wrong answer.

If he sleeps in the living room, will that hamper your evenings? If he goes to bed before you, you’ll have to either be very quiet or avoid using that room.

I think I would get a good sofa bed ( they do exist!) and the parents sleep in the front room, giving the child the bedroom.

However I wouldn't worry about doing this till about 12 months.

This way, the child gets their own quiet space to sleep and space for toys etc. And the adults are able to use the living room in the evening once the child is in bed.
