My baby used to feed to sleep at night and then i put him down but from 5 months started to sleep independently in his crib for all naps. At bedtime though he will just cry and seems very unsettled so we end up feeding him to sleep and holding him for 30 mins before putting down. It doesn't always work now and neither does rocking him! Even if i put him down calm he eventually just cries
...its bizarre!

If he wakes at night do you go in to resettle then leave again and if he wakes up from a nap during the day does he resettle or do you go in and pick him and get on with your day?

Just wondering if it’s ‘anxiety’ about being left all night on his own? Maybe he feels secure that you’ll come and get him during the day, but not at night?

What is his daytime nap routine? He could be over tired by bedtime.

Is he waking in the night?
