"I can't see!!!" <thundering foot steps> Night One of Bunkbeds begins!

Argh!

DD is whinging because I have made it slightly darker than usual (in an attempt to get DS to sleep)

DS does not like his bunk.

Oh no.

He likes the top one

He started dozing off but kept dropping his bottle out under the ladder.

Now there are footsteps thundering.

I really can't face going up to sort it, to hold DS forcefully into his bed.

If I just ignore it will he eventually just get in and go to sleep?? (He used to climb in his cot and sleep.....)

You lot are crap for helping me in my hour of need aren't you?! Hmm??? Off drinking and having lives I expect.

Disgraceful!

There was running for a bit, some toy emptying... then silence.

Went to check and felt around the bed (what with it being too dark and not being able to see ), finally found his back on the pillow... felt a bit more, and realised his legs were dangling down so he had one either side of the ladder upright, sort of supported by his bum

Unfortunately he fell before I got to take a photo which I found most inconsiderate!

now just worrying that DD will wake in the night, forget she is high up, and break an arm

Aw Flame

You are braver than me, I have never been able to contemplate the bunk route

Go for it

Didn't have a choice - couldn't fit two beds in there, and he was escaping the cot which seemed more dangerous than falling out of bed (I obviously hadn't added in the danger of the other one falling out )
