Has given up his dummy for 3 weeks now, but he will not stay in bed now.

He's up and down for 2 hours before me or my dh lays down with him and he falls asleep.

I dont want this to become the pattern.

Please help!

I wouldn't lie down with him, tbh... you're simply substituting one 'comfort' with another.

I think I'd either ignore him (if he's not screaming and shouting) or keep putting him back to bed without talking.

DD1 gave up her dummy at nearly-3 and the first 2 nights were a bit tough. But she did have a stair-gate so couldn't get out of the room. And it was her that decided to give it up, so I went with it, even when she changed her mind a few hours later!
