DD has become a bit unsettled recently in her cot and today she had a major paddy (my fault as I was doing stuff in her room and woke her up) and by chance she fell asleep on the double bed in her room. She is still there sleeping like an angel. Is 16mths too early to put the childs bed up and let her sleep there.

DD moved into a toddler bed at 18 months and we had no problems.

NO, DS1 was 13mths and DS2 was 16mths, no problems with either of them.

DD was 14 months. I put her cot mattress on the floor in case she fell out. She actually slept much better in a bed.

Ditto. Both of mine went into beds at 13 months.

DD went into a bed at 15 months - no probs at all, but DS is now 20 months and still wouldn't consider it with him as he is a real Mummys boy wakes several times a night and would be sleeping in with us if I attempted it
Basically if it feels right for you and DD then go for it
