If your 14 month old (ish) has dropped to one nap, what does your day look like please?

I think my DD is moving to one nap, but I'm struggling to work out how to manage this without her getting horrifically tired late morning. She is still totally ready for her morning nap about 3.5hrs after she wakes, but then completely resists the afternoon nap (today she'll have been awake from 10.45am until bedtime!).

So what does your day look like if you've just moved to one nap? Also, DD wakes super early (around 5am), she'll sometimes doze in my bed with me for a bit but the early waking means a long stretch to lunchtime.

8am up, 1 nap sleep at 3pm for around 2 hours, sleep at 9.30pm. So yours would be up at let’s say 6 properly, try and keep her up until say 11.30. Try and keep her down til 1.30 then lunch. Then I’m assuming he goes to bed around 7.

Up at 7, early lunch at 11:30. Nap 12-2:30 or 3. Bed at 6:30.

My DD who is 14months gets up 830 , sleeps 1-3 and then bed around 7:30 but feeds to sleep and can take 30-45 mins. Is awake for another feed around midnight x

15 month old. Has been having 1 nap a day since 12 months. Non nursery day looks like this:
Somewhere between 6-7 wake up
7 breakfast
10 snack
12 lunch
12.30-2.30/3 nap
3.30- snack
5.30/6- dinner followed by bath
7-7.30- bedtime usually asleep by 7.30- 7.45

When we first dropped the morning nap I did lunch at 11.30 and he went down for his nap at 12. Bedtime was earlier at 7 but now settled in this routine.

At 14 months mine was up at 7am, lunch at 11.45/12 then straight down for nap by 12.30 till about 2.30/3.

Sometime around 14/ 15 months though we had a horrific period where she'd only do 45 minutes for her nap... lasted a couple of months and resulted in a v tired girl. Seemed top rectify itself before about 17 months.

21m.

Up anywhere from 6:30-8:30

Nap at 11.30 for anywhere from 45m-3hrs (usually about 1-1:30m). Then lunch anywhere from 12-3 depending on when she wakes.

Dinner at 5.30

Bed approx 7.30

(With quite a few wakes during the night)

15m DD has been a one-nap girl since about 11m...

5.30-7.30 wake up, breakfast soon after
11.30-12.30 lunch
12-1.30ish nap, can be 2hrs, can be 20min. Snack when she wakes up.
5.30 dinner
6 bedtime routine starts
7pm asleep in bed

Dillybear · 06/02/2021 21:13

DD is nearly 12m. She dropped to one nap at 10m!

Up at 6.30. Lunch at 11.30, then nap 12-2.15. Dinner at 5.45 and then bed at 7.30.

Thanks so much everyone - quite a bit of variance but 11.30/12 looks like the time to be aiming for, I'm just not sure how well that will go when we have a 5am wakeup. Super jealous of the posters whose babies sleep until 8am!
