DS is 15 weeks in a couple of days. He is generally a really good sleeper at night, he basically sleeps through and wakes for one feed at about 4am.
However naps were always a bit of an issue, he just wouldn’t nap, really fought sleep and barely slept during the day. Over the past month or so we’ve started implementing more of a routine, still flexible but more structured and he’s been much better at naps including doing a long lunchtime nap for 2-2.5 hours now.
However the past 3-4 days the naps are going wrong again, especially the long lunchtime one. Previously he could link his sleep cycles quite well, sometimes needing settling but more often not, he could settle himself. However over the past few days DS is waking after every sleep cycle and is crying inconsolably. He hardly ever cries normally, not proper crying anyway, so it’s awful that he gets so upset each time.
I know babies change all the time, often daily, but I wondered if this is the start of the sleep regression and because naps have been an issue, they are the first things to suffer. Just wondered if anyone else had had a similar experience with the 4 month regression?
