My almost 7 month old son has taken to screaming in his sleep during the past week. From what I can tell he is fast asleep while he does it and is usually in the process of trying to roll over or move in the cot as he does it. I don't think he's in pain as it's not the same scream as when he puts his arm in the cot bars for example.
He still wakes up a couple of times in the night for a feed but naps very well and can put himself to sleep and usually self settles in the night if he wakes up. So I'm very confused as to what's happening, especially as he doesn't seem to be awake when he's screaming. He is still sleeping soundly when he goes to bed at about 6.30pm until around 1am when the fun starts. It seems to go on until about 5am when he then goes back to sleeping soundly.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas? We still share a room and I'm not ready to move him out yet but I'm back at work now and feel like the walking dead!
