toddler leaking through nappy since move to bigger bed

Not sure if anyone has any advice.

Our 2-year old rarely leaked through his nappy at night, but since we transferred him to a single bed a few nights ago, it's every night, mostly at the back. We are already using more absorbent night-time nappies and he is well within the weight/size limits.

He is not sleeping particularly "wildly" (ie he wakes up nearly in the same position as he went to sleep, which is the same position as in his cot). Anyone any idea what may cause this and how to address this?

Could you change his nappy before you go to bed, while he’s asleep? So there’s a more absorbent fresh one?

Our toddler has pampers pull ups and they have been great

Thank you for the response! You're the second person advising pull-ups for this problem, so I will try those.

Toddler is unfortunately the world lightest sleeper and changing him really wakes him up, but maybe the pullups will do the trick
