10 month old and CC - any positive stories?

My 10 month old still wakes every 2 hours (on a good night)..often its every hour or sometimes even 30 mins when teething. I was totally against any sort of crying method but I'm now 10 weeks pregnant, with a very demanding job and feel at complete breaking point. I wanted to ride it out but it's no different at all to when she was 3 months old. I don't feel like I have the energy to look after her during the day.

I was getting by pre-pregnancy but I just feel absolutely shattered. Just wanted to hear some positive stories on controlled crying and any tips really. My husband is going try for 3 nights as I know I won't be able to go through with it. I feel so so guilty but I just don't know what else to do. Co-sleeping makes zero difference...I would co-sleep till she was 3 if she slept but she wakes just as much. I also stopped breastfeeding thinking that might help..it didn't at all.

She goes down like a dream, naps very well but just wakes up every hour crying until I put her dummy back in...so the wake ups are very quick and easy but obviously just lots of them so it means you never get any quality sleep. She only takes 1 bottle around 11 or 12. Is it better to night wean before cc? She rinses a 7oz bottle so she definitely still seems to need the bottle.

I would try the pick up and put down before cc but that’s personal preference. It’s a gentle sleep training technique

We did Taking Cara Babies (look her up on Instagram!) sleep training plan and it was really tough for a few days but now our son (13 months) sleeps 12 hours through the night solid and we are all better rested! I know cc isn’t for everyone but it really saved my mental health and absolutely worked for us. I used to have my husband watch the monitor while I sat with my headphones in as hearing him cry would just result in me crying too! Good luck, hope you find something that works for you.

Glad you had some success @Elle8999 ..We started last night and I've been doing exactly the same, putting headphones on and still been in floods of tears! Not helped by pregnancy hormones I don't think! It's awful but we've been desperate and we did try gentler methods such as pick up put down with no joy. Touch wood she seems to have responded really quickly to it, it only took 6 mins of crying at the longest (going in at 2 and 4 min to comfort) the first night. I'm wondering if I've actually just been disturbing her previously as she's not really having much of a cry!
