14 month old good sleeper now waking every 2.5 hours

Up until a month ago 14 month old was sleeping through with two 1 hour naps a day.
Then started nursery one day a week, got ill, dropped his morning nap and started walking all within a few weeks - I suspect this has all contributed to waking up.
With him being ill I was breastfeeding him whenever he woke and now this hasn’t stopped. The issue is I’ve always breastfed him when he woke but it usually takes a tweak of his routine for him to sleep through and so I never had to do CC or anything.
He’s now having one nap a day and most of the time sleeping for about 2-2.5 hours. We’re having some bad days where he’s sleeping for 30 mins only.
Anyway he’s clearly over tired and I feel like we’re in a viscous cycle.

I don’t know what to do to get him back on track?
Oh he also looks like he has two eruption cysts on some molars he’s got coming.
Please give me any tips on where to start 😭

I must add as well he goes to sleep by himself, he has boob (or bottle with dad) and lays down awake to go to sleep - so I know he can do it and he has been!
