How can I sort out her daytime naps - 13 wks old

At the moment dd2's day naps are dictated by the nursery run for dd1. She will fall asleep at 8.45am when we leave for nursery but is now starting to wake when we get home at 9.15am. Same again when we pick dd1 up, asleep at 11.45am and then awake when we get home at 12.15pm. Both times then refusing to go to sleep again until she is really overtired which means lots of crying. If she does stay asleep in the car seat, we end up tiptoeing around not to wake her. Should I try and transfer her to the cot as soon as we get home and hope she will get used to it. Tried today and she woke up and wouldn't go back to sleep. Or am I trying to hard to get some routine to her naps at this age?

Anyone else doing nursery runs?

I wouldn't worry about it. My son settled down into his own routine at around 4/5 months and it has evolved over time. I never tiptoed around him and now he frequently sleeps through all sorts.

Im in the same boat with DS2 just 13 weeks old... oh how different it is with two! He seems just to nod off when I need to do pre school run so I have now decided just to go with the flow!
