Newborn baby sleeping basket (?) with toddlers

Baby due in october, need to buy somewhere for baby to sleep soon!

I have 2 toddlers so that can complicate things. Also bedroom is upstairs and we live downstairs most of the day.

Let's be honest here: DC coslept! DD2 was easier to put down but still....

So! I need something I suppose mainly for naps during the day. But it needs to be safe around inquisitive toddlers.

I was thinking moses basket which can go up and down the stairs easily. DH likes Snuzpod but I find it bulky (I hate stairs......).

I'm a bit lost.... don't really want to buy something and then buy something else straight away, it's a waste of money...

Thanks for your help

Mokkee woolnest or perhaps just a standard wicker moses

We used the carrycot part of the pram - up in the pram wggels it was very sturdy

I use the pram in the day. High enough to be away from the dog & toddler does climb it but he can only look at her, not get in! Also means I can risk her to sleep.

Can also move her from room to room with us. I leave her in it on her own downstairs if we are only nipping upstairs for a toddler nappy change etc..

I would just use a Moses basket on a stand or the carry cot part of the pram for downstairs naps Smile

I used a moses basket in a stand downstairs, and when DS got a bit too enthusiastic, I set up a playpen and stood it inside that so he couldn't get too close.

When I had dc2 and 3 I had a travel cot in the middle of the living room. In the middle because dc1 would climb onto windowsills and the Back of the sofa and was a very "helpful" 2 year old who might have jumped into the cot to Look after the baby... Worked brilliantly for dc2. Dc3 wouldn't sleep anywhere but in me, but no cot would have solved that! Sometimes He played in the travel cot awake.

@UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme that's a good idea!! We do have a travel cot already. We moved to UK from a different country and PIL already had the travel cot so it became DD2 bed for a while.
