My 4 month old falls asleep then wakes up screaming 20 mins later every night

Hi! I have a 4 month old daughter. Every night we have a routine to get her down, making sure her last wake window is < 2 hours so she’s not overtire:
Massage & Bath at 6pm
Feed (bottle) a lot at 6:20pm, typically has 180ml
Burped for 20 mins then down to bed at 7pm.

Every night after about 20 minutes (7:20pm) she wakes up screaming her head off. When we go in to comfort her, she falls asleep very quickly.
Then 10 minutes later, away she goes again. This repeats 2-3 times before she doesn’t get up anymore. We have tried letting her cry it out for 5 mins before going in but it doesn’t really help.

Is this normal and any ideas what to do? I get when babies slowly wake up and cry out, but she goes from 0-100 every night 2-3 times before finally sleeping for 4-5 hours. She’s fed, the right temperature and nappy clean.

Thanks!

That’s exactly what DS did (but I think it was more 30-40mins). We did try changes in routine etc but it made zero difference. He just grew out of it after a few months.

The only improvement I ever saw was when I was exhausted too and went to sleep with him: on those occasions he cried out less frequently.
