In need of a longer uninterrupted sleep!

DD is 8 months old and has always been at the bottom end of how much sleep babies are 'supposed' to have; however, she was very good at sleeping 8 or 9 hours at night from fairly early on.

For the last 3 weeks, though, most nights she's woken up 2 or 3 times a night. Usually I just need to go in and hold her arms and legs (which she doesn't fight) and then she'll drift back off to sleep. I'm only up for about 15 mins each time, but it's leaving me exhausted and it's taking it's toll on DD too - on the odd night that she's slept through, she's so much happier the next day.

I've tried not going in to her room straight away, hoping she might settle herself (as she used to do!) but after 10 mins she's got herself in a real lather and it then takes ages to calm her down.

Any ideas on what to do???

Poor you! and dd. Is she teething? If she is give her some pain relief - it'll make her happier and let you both get some much needed sleep.

good luck
