How to stick to bedtime when you have plans

Hi

So we've just got our 6 month old in a good night time routine where she goes down about 7:30pm for 12 hours.

We would like to go to my mums for dinner tonight so wondering how I could adapt? We'll probably be home at 8:30pm. She can have her bath and last bottle at my mums but do we try and keep her awake until we get home or perhaps put her in her car seat when's she's tired and just transfer her to cot when we get back?

Many thanks
