My rule has always been to not feed DS to sleep during the day.

I had got him to the stage where i could lay him down in the cot and most of the time he would go to sleep.

While we were on holiday he had a terrible cold and was teething so I fed him to sleep most of the time because it was easier.

Now he just won't go to sleep without being fed!!!!!

How can I undo this????!?!??!

How old is he? I used pick up/put down with my dd when she was 4 months and it worked really well. I think you can use it when they're older as well (although it might be a bit hard on your back!!)

Trix, ime they change all the time and what works beautifully one day will all of a sudden change and no longer work. Personally my DD stopped falling asleep feeding early on and all I can say is that it's so much easier if they do!! I tried PU/PD and it was AWFUL. A week of hell IMO. I'd just say if it works why bother changing it?

Trixymalixy, I am in the same predicament (sp??)! My dd used to go to sleep as soon as I put her in her cot (day and night) she would sleep from 7.00pm- 7.00pm. Now she is waking in the night and the only way I can get her back to sleep is by feeding her (or by putting her in the pushchair and rocking her back to sleep) all because she is teething!

What does pu/pd involve?

Thanks
