How can I help my 6mo sleep more soundly?

My 6mo is currently extremely restless when she is asleep. I think its because she is desperate to crawl and so her brain won't switch off and when she is a sleep she flaps about and wakes herself up. It's also really hard to put her down in her cot because she wakes up almost instantly (she's either fed, held or bounced to sleep). I give her plenty of time during the day to practice crawling and make sure she has a consistent bedtime routine that is relaxing and an hour before bedtime take her up off the floor and sit her on my knee for a cuddle to try to calm her down. None of this seems to be working and she is waking every 1-2 hours. It's been a couple of weeks of this and I am really not coping very well with the lack of sleep. My OH is trying to help as much as possible but she will only settle during the night on the boob (she's BF and has been weaned since 4.5mo under doctors orders to help combat reflux - which is all under control). I've also tried co sleeping with her but she is having none of that and won't settle. What else can I do? I am exhausted and at the end of my tether Sad
