Sleep training success stories

Hello. Steeling myself to sleep train our LO at 6mo because his poor sleep is affecting my day with him and my toddler, my marriage and my sanity.

Could you share your success stories please? I know there’s lots of advice online about how to go about it appropriately, but would love to hear how people actually got on. I guess I’m worried about being up all night with him screaming, rather than him adjusting, and then being even more tired.

Wow, sounds like it was all quite stress-free! How have the other naps been? I’m unsure about giving a dream feed or just feeding him when he wakes in the night... I’ve been reading up on one method that advises 11pm and 3.30am dream feeds (which the parents schedules and wakes up for) but that seems a bit much...

Spoke too soon she hasn't napped since 11am 😭
She did 90 mins in the first nap and I had to wake her. Has refused to sleep since 😬😂

Hadn't thought about a second dream feed. I kind of hope she might drop the night time feed in time once I start her on solids so I think I will leave that one for now but it's food for thought...

Nice to find this thread. I had decided I was starting tonight too.
I sleep trained my eldest at 10m and it was life changing after such little quality sleep since her birth. I am now at the same point with DS but he is 7m and I swore I would have done it earlier than 10m with DD if I had known how well it worked, so after some very bad nights it is time! I hated those first 2 nights with DD but the 3rd night was the magic one, hardly any crying and then asleep for 11 hours. It was amazing. I am hoping DS will do the same!

@sk283 do you mind me asking what methods Rosey suggested? My dd is nearly 5 months and I'm loosing the plot trying to get her to sleep in her cot at night!

Not at all.
She does a tailor made plan for each individual child depending on age and behaviour and loads of other factors.

Ours involved leaving DS to cry for short intervals, but reassuring him.

She has loads of free advice on Instagram and YouTube

My friend bought her course and it worked for her baby in 3 nights.
