OK to leave in car seat to sleep when doing nursery run

My dd1 goes to nursery 4 days a week, 9am - 12pm. My dd2 falls asleep in the car seat when dropping her off and picking her up and I have been leaving her in it to sleep - 1 hr in the morning, 2 hrs at lunch. Is this ok for an 8 week old or should I try and transfer her. Thing is she isn't good at sleeping in her cot in the day. she won't be falling asleep for ever when we are in the car so do you think it is ok to do for a short while or is 4 days a week too much?

only you can decide, there will be lots of people come and tell you the dangers, but i know lots of children that were left to sleep in car seats and are fine. it really is one of those things that only you can decide

3 hours a day won't hurt her. I'd keep doing as you are.

I did this with ds2, and then started transferring to cot when he was well established in the "routine"
